NDIS functional capacity assessments
For people with disabilities, at home across greater Brisbane or by telehealth anywhere in Australia.
A functional capacity assessment (FCA) shows the NDIA how a person’s disability affects their everyday life, and the support they need to live well and work towards their goals.
At Wholebeing Occupational Therapy, every assessment starts with the person: their story, their strengths, their goals and what a good life looks like to them. Reports are thorough, evidence based and written in line with current NDIS legislation. They keep the person’s own voice at the centre and describe them accurately and respectfully, never more clinically than they need to.
Thorough, person-centred reports, with a quick turnaround.

With your consent, we read existing reports and speak with people who know you well, such as family, support workers and your treating team
The assessment, at home or somewhere you feel comfortable. This is usually one two-hour visit, or two shorter visits if that suits you better, with breaks whenever you need them. You’re welcome to have a support person with you
Your report, with a quick turnaround and clear recommendations linked to your goals
We usually take on new assessments within about four weeks, and can commit to a set completion date when a plan review is coming up. FCAs are funded through NDIS Capacity Building (Improved Daily Living) for self-managed and plan-managed participants.
